This Week's Deals at CVS - Some are free!

There are some great deals at CVS this week. If you have coupons from the Sunday papers then you will be able to pick up some of these items for almost free!
CVS will give you money back for buying certain items each week in the form of Extra Bucks (or ECBs). These print out at the end of your receipt and are essentially a paper gift card that you can use on your next purchase at CVS.

First ask the cashier for a rewards card if you do not have one and swipe it at the magic coupon machine usually located near the registers. Each week this machine will give you coupons which can be stacked with manufacturers coupons for extra good deals. They will often give you coupons for $4 off a $20 purchase too!

* Azo maximum strength itch releif cream 1oz. $6.99 - Get $5 ECB (limit 5)
Use the $2 off 1 printable coupon found here
Pay $4.99 plus tax and receive a $5 ECB
Final cost after ECB and coupon = Free!

* Campbells Select Harvest Soup - 4/$5 (You do not have to buy 4 to get this price)
Buy 2 and use a $1/2 printable Campbells Select Harvest Soup coupon found here
Final cost after coupon = $0.75 each when you buy 2

* Colgate Total Advanced or Enamel Strength toothpaste 4oz - $2.99 get $2.99 in ECBS (limit 2)
Use the $0.75 off 1 coupon found here or the $0.75 coupon found in the 10/3 Smart Source (SS)
   insert of the Sunday newspapers
   Pay $2.24 and receive a $2.99 ECB
Final cost after coupon and ECB = Free + $0.75 moneymaker!

* Purex Complete 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets 20ct - $7.99 On sale Buy 1 Get One Free (B1G1)
Use two $3 off 1 coupons found in the 10/10 Red Plum (RP) insert of this Sundays paper (will
   have to buy 2 papers)
Final cost after coupon = $0.99 each when you buy 2!

*  Dawn hand renewal - $0.97
Use the $0.50 off 1 coupon from the Proctor and Gamble (P&G) insert of the 9/26 newspaper
Final cost after coupon = $0.47

Deal Scenarios

Transaction 1
Buy 2 Colgate toothpastes $5.98
Use the above coupons
Pay $4.48 and receive a $5.98 ECB

Transaction 2
Buy: 2 Purex 3-in-1 laundry sheets
        1 dawn hand renewal
        Buy 4 Campbells soups
Buy a filler item for $0.53 to use up the rest of your ECB
Use the coupons listed above and your ECBs from transaction 1
Pay just the tax.

All that for just $4.48 plus tax!

OR.... If you have a $4 off $20 coupon from the magic coupon machine you could do the following deal

Buy: 2 Purex 3-in-1 Laundry sheets
        2 Colgate toothpastes
        1 Azo Anti itch cream
Use the coupons listed above plus the $4 off $20 coupon
Pay $7.50 plus tax
Receive $10.98 in EBs to be used in your next transaction
Final cost after ECBs = Free plus a $3.48 moneymaker!

Your scenarios may be different to mine depending on what coupons you have available. You can see above that you can do scenarios that leave you with some ECBs left over. These can be rolled into a deal the following week reducing what you will spend out of pocket then. For example I currently have $20 in ECBs so if I use $7.50 of them today on the above scenario and receive $10.98 in ECBs back I will have only paid the tax out of pocket (ECBs cannot be used to pay tax).

Leave a comment below and let us know if you got any great deals at CVS this week.
