Get a $5 Tippr credit when you donate $5 to American Red Cross

Have you given to the Red Cross yet for Japan relief? If not, you may be interested in this offer from Tippr. In fact even if you have this is a good opportunity. Through the end of the day tomorrow you can get a $5 credit to use on the Tippr website if you make a donation of $5 through them. Click here to make your donation. There is a limit of 5 donations and credits per person so you can donate as much as $25 and receive credits for as much as $25! Also if you are an existing Tippr customer and have a credit on your account I think you can use that to make a donation and receive a new $5 credit!

Tippr is a daily deals site much like Groupon. Recent deals include a $100 Travelocity credit for just $50 and a $60 Vistaprint credit for just $60.

Free CPR and first aid classes on March 19th

On March 19th the American Red Cross is offering free 45 minute to 1 hour classes in CPR and first aid. Click here to find a class in your area and perhaps you can save someone's life some day.

In the wake of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan I know that many people here in California have wondered what would happen if we have a big earthquake. I would love to see a world where everyone is trained in first aid and CPR so that if God forbid we were ever in a massive disaster where the emergency services are overwhelmed we would be able to help each other. These classes are a first step in that direction.
